Home Sweet Home

Well, I took the plunge yesterday. I started a Twitter feed for my obsessive Craigslist deal tweets, and hopefully in the next couple of weeks I can launch the blog portion. I'm not quite sure what I want this to be yet, though. I know I will have my Craigslist finds, and probably some DIY tutorials, but I'm not sure what else. I'm hoping it will just be an organic process of development, and who knows what will happen.

Besides that, I've been focusing on our home right now and making it ours (see previous post). So as a starting point while I hopefully continue to post the improvements we're making, I thought an entire "before" post would be fun. Obviously, much work has already been done and our little apartment is quite thoroughly nested, but with all the ideas I have, I just wanted to document where I'm "starting" from at this point.

So here is our home!

My favorite part of our house, and the part I use the most. I just love our little kitchen!

MY HAVEN in our house. Logan was sweet enough to let me completely take over this closet since we don't have a second bedroom for me to use as a craft room.

Obviously, I'm still playing around with what I want to put above our bed. The big blank spot stares at me when I walk in, but I refuse to be intimidated by a wall. I will not put anything there until I am sure of it!

Some random things I love around our house... I adore these precious coasters I found at TJ Maxx.. They each have a different antique chair on them! Love. And I covered a whole wall of our living room in the blue damask fabric shown. It was a labor of love, but it totally paid off!

We have a gigantic window in our living room (it comes close to taking up the whole wall) and Logan and I just love it. It lets in so much light, which is awesome since we don't have an overhead light in there (hence the tacky dorm floor lamp on the right... yikes). I have a lot more on my to-do list than just those two things (ie: something above our bed), but those are my priorities right now.

So. This is where we are beginning, and hopefully I'll be adding a lot soon! I have a fun chalkboard post to add soon (those are so in right now), too!
